There are real estate agents, and then there is Leigh Martin. Leigh helped me find my Houston townhouse when I thought I would never find a quality place in my price range. In turn, he then helped every friend I recommended to him, spending time with them as though they were family. For Leigh, finding you your home is as important to him as it is to you. In my case, I felt like sometimes it was more important to him than me. He isn't just an agent; he is a mind reader. Unlike a lot of agents who 'assume' what you want, Leigh listens to your concerns, your previous gripes, and your requests, and unlike a lot of agents, tries his best to match those exactly (sometimes against his best interest). If you are looking for an agent with integrity, a desire to please that is so refreshing, and a man who takes pride in everything he will do for you, look no further.
Leigh helped me on the buy-side and I was very impressed. I have nothing but positive things to say about Leigh. I can't imagine anyone being more responsive during a process. To me, this is really the most important characteristic as he has the resources of a large broker behind him to get any question answered. He is helpful with his ideas and listens to your concerns. He truly allows you to feel like you are driving the process at your own pace and takes the role of a trusted advisor. Leigh was great! He was very honest but remained professional with his recommendations. It made some of the tough decisions easier to make. One thing he is not is lazy! He was determined to sell my house and it felt good knowing he was as eager to sell it as I was (a feeling I did not receive with a previous realtor). I always knew when and where my house was being advertised and if something wasn't working, we would try something else. My home had been listed for about a year when Leigh stepped forward to help with the sale. I had received a few low-ball approaches, but this was a reasonable offer which improved with negotiation and resulted in a sale. The offer, negotiation, and ultimate contract were handled very conveniently using digital signature software while I was out of town. Leigh utilized Martha Turner's resources very well on my behalf and if/when I list a home again, I will use his services.
